Josh Bertrand has a limit
Rigid Industries pro Josh Bertrand now has a five fish limit. After a quick back-to-back smallmouth blitz early, Bertrand put two fish in the boat and began to check some other spots. Awhile later it was clear that the action had slowed, but that didn’t seem to phase Josh as he just looked up and said, “Don’t worry guys, we’ll find ’em!”Two or so locations later Josh set the hook on fish number three and the fight was on. The smallmouth took several minutes to tire and Josh slowly and calmly brought the fish in. Bertrand then followed up with fishes number four and five with the next two casts. Clearly he’s got a little something figured out.

Bertrand heading for Canada
Still looking for his fifth fish, Josh Bertrand is headed for Canadian waters.
He’s pausing to make the obligatory phone call announcing his presence to Canadian authorities now.
Bertrand has three small ones
He may end up needing to cull all three of them, but Josh Bertrand just landed his third fish – another one in the 2-pound range.
Bertrand makes first cast near Morristown
We trailered 45 minutes to Morristown this morning and managed to be waiting on second-place angler Josh Bertrand when he arrived at his first spot.
Championship Sunday is on.
Bertrand back in the United States
A brief stop in Canadian waters produced no fish for Josh Bertrand, so he’s back in the States.
He’s drop shotting his heart out with a 3-inch Berkley Gulp Minnow, but the bites are coming slow.
Bertrand has about 9 pounds

He just put No. 4 in the boat – a 3-pounder that should put him the neighborhood of 9 pounds total.
